Libby’s Scribb1es

'Sup, Dudes!?

What is the deal with Siobhán's hair? It seems like it's always slightly different from one comic to the next. Like, there are some common trends, but it's never quite the same. If this were animated, Siobhán's hair would be a nightmare!

But yeah…I don't know of much else to say. That's okay, though, because someone actually wrote in last week, in response to a question I asked about cursive! (I don't remember exactly what I asked, though, and I'm too lazy to check, so we're just gonna forge ahead.)

Kathleen M. writes:

I like to use both cursive and printing. When I was in college (before one had to worry about professors who didn't allow the use of a laptop for taking notes), I liked to print the headings of the various sections on my notes and then write the content of those sections in cursive. It made for well-organized, easy-to-read notes. This method really paid off when I started working on an education degree and suddenly had a LOT of student athletes in my classes. For some reason, my biology and chemistry classes were not popular with scholarship football and basketball players. Anyway, those hunky guys chose to borrow my notes when they had to miss a class because of an out-of-town game. The only thing I got out of it was impressing my roommates when the guys would return the notes to my home. Plus, this story that my offspring have had to hear countless times. So, put me down for a plus sign in both the cursive and printing column.

– Kathleen M.

Well, there you go! Athletes are morons (except for sk8ers, of course), but they are able to read cursive! (Or, at least they were in Ye Olden Dayes…) Thanks, Kathleen M., for writing in! I'm glad you did, and Brian's glad that I'm not shitting on you, like that one time someone wrote in…I don't think I'll need to issue an apology this time!!!

Thanks for reading, as usual. I don't have any questions for you this week, but if you want to write in, feel free to do so at Sk8erLibby@gmail.com, and mark it "OKAY TO REPRODUCE" in the subject and/or at the top of the message, so that Brian and I know that we can include it in a future Scribb1e.

Okay, that's it!
