'Sup, Dudes!?

Production of this issue was a little wonky, because Brian stayed up past 6am last night working on a book collection of Polarnoids. He's nowhere near finished with that yet, but it did mean that his sleep was weird. Then, there was the part where he tried to replace the ink in one of his brush pens, but the cartridge wasn't actually empty yet, so instead he just got ink all over his hands. (Miraculously, he didn't get any on the white shirt he was wearing or the comic itself!) But, Brian got it done, and now it's been sorted out electronically, so that you can read it at home, or on a train, or on a bus, or on a plane, or even on an old-timey sailing ship. (Whatever you do, don't read it while driving a car. I'm a badass, and Siobhán's…something else, but both you and your car deserve better demises than would come from reading about a knitting sk8er girl and her perpetually topless friend.)

Honestly, though, Brian says the hardest part was figuring out how to draw people sitting in chairs…Poses are hard, especially when you're trying to get stuff done and thus not bothering to even do poses yourself, to get a feel for the body positions. At least…that's what Brian tells me. I just know that it can sometimes make my friends and me look goofy…But hey! The idea for this comic was pretty easy, because this is inspired by real life, where Brian's mom has been known to use d20s as counters when she's knitting. I have to agree with her—they're pretty damn useful!

Anyway, I've gotta go now. Otherwise, Brian could get back to assembling pages of comics from 2 years ago, and then he won't get any cool stuff done tomorrow, unless it's on the wrong side of 6am again. Until next time, then!
