'Sup, Dudes!?
You know, for a comic called "Libby Sk8er Girl," there isn't really a whole lot of skating going on…Do you think it's a conspiracy? I'm wondering if I even know how to skateboard. Who knows? Maybe I'm a fraud!!!
Or, maybe it's that just having one schtick isn't really gonna get you very far when you have to appear in a new comic every week…especially if that schtick is something that can only really happen across time, which is hard to convey in a single panel. (Not much of that "sequential art" going on here, huh, Brian?)
That's another thing! Did you notice that, for the most part, Brian has been getting away with releasing two comics a week and only drawing two pictures? Yeah, Polarnoids re-uses all the panels except for the last one. Brian just changes the dialogue around. And then obviously my comics are just one panel and then Brian leans heavily on me to produce Scribb1es, so that there's more "content." It almost seems like a scam, if you ask me!
But, you know what comic doesn't get these corner-cutting tactics? Yeah, that w*tch, Brandy de Hex. Comics about her come out less frequently, but not only does she get newly drawn panels, she gets two or more PAGES with every issue…IN COLOR!!! How is that fair? Does Brian realize that I am by far the coolest character he's ever invented? I mean, who else can rock a crop-top sweatshirt, cargo pants, and an anchor bellybutton ring and still look like a total badass??? (If you don't think I look like a total badass, you're not allowed to answer.)
All in all, even if I get new comics on a weekly basis and am an extremely flexible character, I clearly don't get enough attention…Even so, you should probably check out this week's Brandy de Hex comic. In it, she at least has the decency to have a bare midriff, and she actually casts a spell, so that's special! Gee, maybe eventually this stupid Halloween story will end and she'll have something interesting happen to her! (Ooh! What if she becomes a sailor wench and sees how hard it is for those of us who don't have magic at our fingertips?!?)
