'Sup, Dudes!?

Sometimes, I wonder what genre this series really is…Is it supposed to be comedic? Is it supposed to be thoughtful? What exactly is going on?

Well, I have an answer for you: It's all of these things. That's because it's nice to be absurd, but it's also nice to just…be…Life is like a sidewalk…Sometimes, it's full of cracks and needs to be redone. Other times, it's flat and smooth and easy. And then, there are times when it's littered with goose shit and you're gonna have to get really good at slaloming on a skateboard!

Trying to fit into a specific genre is moronic. It's like trying to fit into any box…Sure, it can hypothetically be done, but in the process you lose whatever's interesting about your whole thing. Besides, genres don't have clear definitions anyway. It's all just a bunch of vibes and then pretentious dickheads trying to claim that something is more or less worthy of a genre label, as though it's some kind of honor to be one thing or another.

That's all really dumb, so I'm against it. Instead, I'm just gonna hang out with Zebra. She's good, and she's smarter than probably 95% of the human population. (You can't refute this, because, as a work of fiction, that statement could effectively make it true, since my rules don't have to be the same as your rules.) Life is good this way.

That said, I'm hoping Brian draws a nifty-looking guy for next week's comic…That makes things more interesting for me, personally, and it might make things more interesting for some of you as well!
